Omar Obaid, DO

Description

Omar Obaid, DO, practices general cardiology at Rush. He earned his degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital. He also completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease at Ascension Genesys Hospital and interventional cardiology at Largo Medical Center. Obaid is also a board-certified interventional cardiologist with years of experience treating heart and vascular conditions for adult patients, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, blockages in the arteries or veins and congestive heart failure. He provides custom treatment plans to meet each of their needs and goals, whether it is preventive care or management of chronic conditions. He enjoys interacting with patients and their families and thoroughly explains any test results, care options and the risks and benefits of treatments. Obaid was born and raised in Northwest Indiana where he currently lives. In his spare time, he appreciates exploring local sights and entertainment. He is also an avid Chicago sports fan and closely follows English Premier League soccer.
